There were at least fifteen Filipino movies which are vying for a spot in the competition but only movies are to chosen by the choosing committee.
In a previous report, the MMFF Executive Committee Chairman Tim Orbos stated, “Our selection committee had a difficult time choosing given the quality of films. We have to thank them for their exhaustive and thorough deliberations.”
